2022 Tax Season is Open!
The best results in tax preparation come from a highly interactive process. We do each tax return as if it were our own, and the more interactive the process the better. We have worked on new tools to improve upon that aspect and have summarized them here.
The process for each client is unique, but some general guidelines are helpful. You will find specific details in each Google Sheet unique to every client. Click on each item for more details.
Call or Email us. Kim, Mindi, Preston or Abby will take your call.
Indicate your requests and preferences, and specifically what we will be doing for you this year.
Be sure you are assigned a month and number. Like an ice cream shop, this will let you know where we are at in our process and you will know when your turn is coming up for your personalized service.
Once requested an engagement letter will be sent to you and you will be contacted with times for appointments where requested.
Watch for a EverSign email with your specific engagement letter.
Review the agreement for accuracy.
Sign through the EverSign link on the email.
Pay the projected fee through the invoice by ACH or Credit Card if authorized, or by check or cash in person.
All paid engagements will have specific times scheduled for work and completion.
Watch for items to come in by mail, email or otherwise.
Accumulate that data or upload data to SecureDrawer.
Use the Individual Google Sheet to help organize your information and create a more interactive process of sharing the data. (See detail in item #4)
When the data is complete contact us by email, phone or in person to let us know it is ready for our part to begin. Even if scheduled later we may work on it sooner where possible.
See your Email for an Individual Link, or check in Google Drive for it in Shared with Me.
Request a new link if you do not have one or have lost it (see original email)
Update items, questions, etc
See updates and status of your return
Log In to SecureDrawer

Watch for an email with a EverSign link. One will come to each signer.
Sign through the EverSign link after review.
Be sure your invoice is paid and your returns will be filed.
Watch for confirmation emails on efiled returns.
Tax season filing starts February 12, 2021. That is when the IRS system opens up for efiling personal returns for 2020, including 2018 or 2019 returns if those have not yet been filed. Though the starting date is later than normal, the typical April 15th deadline is still the plan. Please get your appointments soon before they fill up.
