Professional Learning Community Project Support:A professional learning community (PLC) is a team of educators who share ideas to enhance their teaching practice and create a learning project that will enhance the knowledge and well being of their students. PLCs can operate within a school building, across a district, or across the consortium. They can be organized by grade level, content area or any group of teaching staff who share a likeminded goal.
Strengthening our Learning Community Project Support:A Learning project to support individuals as they further their own professional development related to the NYS Learning Standards. This can include, but is not limited to, attending workshops or seminars.
MINI PLC/BOOK STUDY:Contact the co-directors for details on how you and a group of your colleagues can earn a stipend for completing a book study. Each participant can earn up to $400 by completing 10 hours of study. The ATC has multiple copies of many popular professional titles to choose from.
