In three years as the Academic Director of Graduate Business Programs (2016-2019), I managed university activities tied to the development, proposal, and launch of six new or modified programs. These related to updating our Traditional MBA [1], a new Manhattan-based Global MBA program [2], and a cross-unit “Business of Science” MBA [3].
My efforts led to programs that align to business student demands and AACSB requirements: flexibility in coursework, the ability to incorporate real-world projects into the curriculum (2020 AACSB standard 9), and competitive credit requirements.

I have been a member of the strategic planning committee for about two years. Members discuss the direction of the school and suggest resources that benefit students, faculty, and other stakeholders. We also focus on issues related to enrollment, retention, and various metrics related to the goals of the school.
I am an Associate Professor with tenure at Adelphi University, a nationally ranked AACSB accredited institution of higher education. My tenure was awarded based on my research, teaching, and service. Some of the highlights in these areas are below:
o Research (Google Scholar, Researchgate) My research generally relates to branding and social responsibility and has been published in peer reviewed journals including: Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Brand Management, Marketing Education Review, Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, Corporate Reputation Review, and Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics.
o Teaching. I have consistently received strong (> 4.5 / 5) evaluations for marketing courses I have taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels while teaching a 3/3 load. Courses taught: Marketing, Marketing Management, Advertising Management (IMC / IBP), Global Marketing, Consumer Behavior.
o Service. In addition to service-related activities within the business school, I was recognized as a Viret Faculty Fellow (a prestigious leadership program at Adelphi[12]) and was an elected member of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee.

I am involved in committee work related to AACSB accreditation, assurance of learning, and strategic planning. I have been involved with Assurance of Learning (AoL) for about 8 years, have participated in various AACSB training programs in Tampa (closing the loop, business accreditation, faculty standards), and have contributed to AACSB’s blog.[4]

Community engagement isn’t just important for AACSB accreditation, it also is a significant value-add for students. Millennial (current MBA students) and Gen Z (future MBA students) students are particularly keen to engage in recession-proof, real-world skills developed through experiential learning. In this regard, I have collaborated with dozens of companies and led the planning and development of an innovation center at Adelphi that facilitates experiential learning and real-world (paid) projects with industry [5].
Examples of impact included funded projects (including a $135,000 partnership with a bank), relationships with business leaders, and students’ ability to regularly interact with business leaders within the classroom.
In my free time, I co-founded a purpose-driven small business (ProfVal, LLC) [6] that provides employment-related services for entrepreneurs, startups, members of the Fortune 500, and nonprofits. Through this company, I regularly interface with executives, startup founders, and other key decision makers within small and large organizations. This provides me with a unique understanding of skills that employers seek. The company provides free resources for persons seeking to learn more about employment within the U.S., both on the company's main site [6a] and on a sister site dedicated to H-1B workers [6b]. Part of the profits from the company are donated to nonprofits, which has led the company to be recognized as a top donor for a number of educational nonprofit organizations [6c].
