LENA Start is the global measurement of child talk, providing Language ENvironment Analysis. LENA Start offers individualized evidence-based training for parents to support their child’s speech and language development. This project is unique in multiple ways: namely, its weekly use of analyzed recorded speech in guiding parents, its focus on minority languages, its direct application of recent research on language development in heritage speakers, and its partnership with community organizations to serve specific cultural and linguistic needs.
