Iglesia Ciudad De Dios Youth Service Saturday PM
Iglesia Ciudad De Dios Youth Service Saturday PM
Our first event in Iquitos was a youth service for the young people of the church. We had approximately 25 young people show up for a time of worship led by Pastor Saul Angulo and a time of Bible teaching and preaching in which I presented a well received message. I taught on how Abraham, the "Father of Our Faith" had to trust God's Word more than he could trust his own eyes. I shared how in Jesus' death, burial and resurrection, we can also enter into that same faith as God always honors His Word and His Covenant. I followed this up with a time of prayer for the young people and inviting them to fully trust in God to fulfill every promise in His Word as we are obedient to Him.

Iglesia Ciudad de Dios Main Service Sunday AM
Iglesia Ciudad de Dios Main Service Sunday AM
It was an honor to be invited to bring the Sunday morning teaching at the church. I taught on divine healing and how some people need healing internally (in their soul) before being able to receive healing externally (in their body). And how people need to receive externally before receiving internally. However, the Good News is that Jesus died and was resurrected for our complete salvation, spirit, soul and body!!! I followed up with a time of prayer for those who needed healing in their bodies, but also those who needed freedom from depression, anxiety, loneliness, trauma, addiction and more. Many came up to receive internal and external healing and I received several testimonies from people who said they could tell a difference already and others who said they were very encouraged to continue growing their faith to receive their full healing!

Evangelism Night at Iglesia Ciudad De Dios
Evangelism Night at Iglesia Ciudad De Dios
I was honored to be able to preach an Evangelism Night at Iglesia Ciudad De Dios. After a time of worship led by Youth Pastor Saul, I preached a hard hitting message on repentance, meaning that we stop walking in the ways of this world and begin walking in God's ways, and about how one encounter with Jesus can change your life and your city. Along with over a hundred people in attendance, we had 16 first time visitors to the church. 10 people came forward to receive Jesus as Lord or rededicate their lives to Him, 4 people reported divine healing in their body and many others shared that their faith was stirred to continue believing God for their healing. We also prayed for those who were battling depression, anxiety, trauma and bitterness in their lives. We believe that everyone received something that they needed from God during this event and that no one left the same as they arrived!!!

Mujeres en Gobierno (Women in Government)
Mujeres en Gobierno (Women in Government)
Annette Thiesen was one of three POWERFUL women speakers at a conference geared toward women currently in or considering a career in positions of government and how that translates into how they govern every area of life. Annette shared on how women can discover where their influence lies and how they can utilize their gifts to assert their influence in a way that glorifies God. What is your sphere of influence? What gifts do you have that you can use to influence others? Who are the people you must influence? What is one thing you want to change through hour influence? She challenged the women in attendance on back to back nights with a well received message.

Saturday night youth service
Saturday night youth service
I was asked to provide ministry once again to the youth of Iglesias Ciudad de Dios. Once again, we had dozens of young people show up. I shared from Matthew chapter 14 sharing the stories of Jesus, feeding the 5000 and Jesus walking on the water. I encourage the young people to draw near to Jesus for the right reasons. I also encouraged the young people to read the gospels and follow Jesus‘s example as Jesus himself said that the work that he does, we will do also.

Sunday morning, main service
Sunday morning, main service
I was asked again to be the main speaker at the Sunday morning service where I preached a message on not complicating evangelism, but simply sharing the testimony of God, according to first Corinthians chapter 2. I encouraged the congregation that evangelism is achievable for every one of them. I gave the congregation a three step process for effective evangelism. First, keep Jesus out front so that the message is focused on him and not on me. Second, the message of evangelism should be based on scripture and not on my story. Third, we should always allow the Holy Spirit to confirm his own word with science, miracles, and wonders following.
