Volunteer with us

Volunteers are fundamental to the success of the BFL programme. We want people who are passionate about supporting the vulnerable adults we work with.

Local organisation Empowerment has been commissioned to recruit and support volunteers who will work as part of the Fulfilling Lives project in Blackpool. We welcome people from all backgrounds including those who have personal lived experience of multiple disadvanatage.

Opportunities Available:

There are various volunteer roles available and we aim to match people's skills and experience to the most appropriate role. It may involve working alongside our Navigators to support beneficiaries, providing support at our drop-in sessions or helping people to get involved in therapeutic activities such as sports or days out. BFL offers volunteers opportunities for personal development including tailored training packages to improve skills and practical experience. Some of our current volunteers are undertaking Health and Social Care qualifications and have been trained in roles such as Navigators and Research Associates. Volunteers are also used to support our marketing and promotional work and help with our therapeutic activities such as the drop in sessions and art and craft groups.

What you can gain:

This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, improve confidence, make new friends, gain meaningful experience and learn new skills and most importantly be part of a team that values your contribution. You will receive support in your role including a full induction, training and regular supervision.
