Prompt, Prepared, Polite, Productive, and Present.
Practice will begin promptly at 3:45 and end by 5:15 p.m. Athletes will need to have a racquet, water bottle with water in it, and sunscreen for every practice. Players are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic shoes, t-shirt, and shorts to practice. Shorts with pockets are encouraged. A hat or visor will help keep the sun out of a players face.
Players who are failing 2 or more classes will be academically ineligible for a week. Eligibility is reported on a weekly basis. The school does provide resources to all athletes for academic help. All athletes are encouraged to attend study sessions and tutoring at Northglenn HS.
Singles - Top 3 players
Doubles - 4 pairs - combinations of players to build doubles.
Positions can change based on challenge matches, eligibility, injuries, absences, discipline, etc. Match to match substitutions can occur and players can be brought up from the JV to play varsity. Athletes missing more than 2 matches will be handled on a case by case basis for line-up purposes.
Challenge matches will completed by the end of the 4th match. Players need a minimum 6 matches at their position in order to compete at regionals/state. Players cannot compete in more than 12 matches per season and tournaments only count as 1 match.
Coaches reserve the right to adjust the line up and try to put our athletes in the best position for the athlete and team.
Player competes in 50% or more of the varsity matches or player is a 3 year team member.
