Dear Mountain View Families,
As this school year comes to a close, so does an incredibly meaningful chapter in my life. After nine wonderful years as principal of Mountain View Elementary (and 30 years in education)I will be retiring on June 8.
It is hard to fully express how thankful I am for the opportunity to serve this community. Thank you for trusting us with your children, supporting our school, partnering with us through celebrations and challenges, and helping make Mountain View such a special place. Watching your children learn, grow, build confidence, discover their strengths, and become caring human beings has been one of the greatest joys of my career.
Mountain View has always been more than just a school. It is a community filled with kindness, resilience, laughter, support, and love for children. I will forever be grateful for the relationships and memories that these past nine years have brought into my life.
While retirement is bittersweet, I am genuinely excited for the future of Mountain View. Laura Spratt will be an exceptional principal, and Joe Tusa will be an outstanding assistant principal. Both care deeply about students, families, and staff, and both are committed to continuing the strong sense of belonging, learning, and community that makes Mountain View so special. I know our Bighorns are in wonderful hands.
Thank you again for allowing me to be part of your children’s elementary school journey. Serving as principal of Mountain View has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I will always carry this community in my heart.
With love and gratitude,
Peggy Heath
Principal
