Dear Mountain View Families,
As we wrap up 2025, our school is buzzing with joy, learning, and celebration! December is a wonderful time to reflect on how much our students have grown and to appreciate the supportive, vibrant community we have here at school. Thank you for sharing your incredible children with us each day—they make our hallways brighter in every way.
We wish all of our families a warm, restful winter break filled with connection, laughter, and plenty of cozy moments. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year!
With gratitude,
Peggy Heath Laura Spratt

Mountain View is proud to be a Let Grow school!
This month’s activity is a chance for your child to be of service to someone beyond
your household. Who can they help out — a friend? a neighbor? someone in the
community? This is their moment to widen their circle of service, without expecting
anything in return. It will get them interacting with people outside of the four walls of your home, which in itself is a great exercise in getting out of their comfort zone! Being of service to others helps your child grow on a personal level and can bring them joy, happiness, and help them feel less self-centered.
In choosing who they want to help out, and specifically how they want to help out,
they are learning about themselves — discovering who they are and who they may
become. Step back, and let your child discover their power to create a positive ripple effect on their world around them.
Mountain View’s Wake Up and Walk Club!
WHEN- Friday mornings at 7:15am
WHERE- Start at the baseball field on the south side of the school
FAMILIES-You are encouraged to participate but you are also welcome to drop your student off early as there will be certified staff monitoring the club.
This club will be weather dependent and families will be notified the day before if the club is NOT happening.
There's no sign-up required, just show up dressed for the weather and ready to run or walk for about 20 minutes.
If your family is in need of emergency food or resources, please email Apryl Delclos at Mountain View at del022859@adams12.org

Reminder: please do not bring valuables and toys to school. This includes fidgets and stuffed animals. Any student who needs a fidget tool will be provided one by the school. Having extra toys and valuables here at school creates problems with items being lost, stolen, or broken and also causes students to distract themselves and others from learning. Of course, our classes sometimes have special days when students are allowed to bring in a favorite toy, game, or stuffed animal, so please wait for those special days. Thank you.
