Drop-Off & Pick-Up Reminder
To help keep all students safe, please use our designated drop-off and pick-up areas and follow posted procedures. If you remain in your car, use the “Hug and Go” lane or a designated parking space and have students exit on the passenger side onto the sidewalk. Students may not be dropped off in the staff parking lot. Please avoid parking in restricted areas, bus lanes, or leaving your vehicle unattended in drop-off zones. If you choose to park, please walk your child using designated crosswalks and avoid cutting through parking lots or crossing in front of buses. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

RESPONSIBILITY: TAKE CARE OF OTHERS
Encouraging kids to be responsible for something or someone beyond themselves sends them a powerful message. It’s a way of letting them know, “I believe in you”, “I see how you’re maturing and are ready to take on bigger things”. When we allow our kids the opportunity to take care of others, they sense that vote of confidence we place in them, and they rise to the occasion! This month, your child will choose an activity that lets them explore their capacity for responsibility by taking care of others (or other living things).
Taking care of others can look like lots of different things, such as taking care of someone younger, taking care of a pet, or caring for an elder (spending time with them, helping them with an errand or task, or simply keeping them company). It can be taking care of other living things like houseplants or tending a garden.
Mountain View’s Wake Up and Walk Club!

Reminder: please do not bring valuables and toys to school. This includes fidgets and stuffed animals. Any student who needs a fidget tool will be provided one by the school. Having extra toys and valuables here at school creates problems with items being lost, stolen, or broken and also causes students to distract themselves and others from learning. Of course, our classes sometimes have special days when students are allowed to bring in a favorite toy, game, or stuffed animal, so please wait for those special days. Thank you.
