If lightning is within 10 miles we need to clear athletes from the fields. This means:

• Players and Coaches from both teams must be in a safe area. 

  1. Inside a GROUNDED building: that means it has both electricity and water running to it.

  2. Inside the bus or car with windows up

  3. Do not sit in a storage shed or dugout, those do not count as grounded building

• Games or Practice are suspended for 30 mins from last strike

  1. If you have waited 20 mins and another strike happens within that 10 mile radius the 30 min clock starts over.

  2. However, this will tell you when you're all clear so you won't have to worry about keep track of time or strikes
