Molly Huffman- Head Coach
Ninth Season at Northglenn
Adams State University, 2000
Hi! My name is Molly Huffman and this is my 9th year as head coach of the Northglenn High School Women's softball program. I started teaching at NHS in 2001. I began my career as a PE and Health teacher. I taught here for 9 years. I moved to a school, that shall not be named, just north of here in 2010 where I began my high school softball coaching career. I taught there for 6 years and coached for 5. I was the Varsity assistant coach and won a state championship in 2015. As soon as I could come back to Northglenn I did, the head coaching position opened and I jumped at the chance. I was also hired as a Dean of Students and love my job! My first year coaching at Northglenn was in 2016-2017 where I was named the EMAC coach of the year.
I had a very successful career as a player. I grew up in Boulder where I played for Boulder High School. I also played for the Stars Organization. I was then given the opportunity to play at the collegiate level at the Adams State University. After I finished playing I was able to coach for one year at Adams State. When I moved home and began my teaching career I also started giving pitching lessons to pitchers from all over the state. I was a professional pitching coach for 11 years then took a break when I had my 2nd daughter.
I have 2 daughters, neither of which play softball! One of my daughters is in high school and is on the Poms team, the other is in 8th grade and a competitive cheerleader. I LOVE spending time with my kiddos and they will often be seen hanging around the softball field!!
