Applications and School Choice
STEM Lab provides problem-based learning for all students. STEM Lab students have opportunities to be problem solvers, risk takers, critical thinkers and innovators by taking positions on real world problems. By working through a combination of learning strategies they discover the nature of a problem, understand the variables involved and gain a perspective viewpoint of those affected. Students also participate in a number of unique field experiences every year and many industry partners/experts work side-by-side our students.
Our mission is to inspire achievement through rigorous, innovative, and authentic experiences. We offer a full range of rigorous educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literacy, and social studies with full support of music, art, and physical education. Student skills are developed for social, political, and economic participation in a diverse, independent, and changing world.
We are a fully comprehensive neighborhood STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) School. Students come from all over the district and surrounding communities to participate in our hands-on program. Whether you are interested in the Biomedical Sciences, Engineering or Computer Information Systems, our STEM model is the place where every student excels. In order to increase access to STEM-related fields, all freshmen take physics (physics, CP Physics, or AP Physics 1) as their science class.
In collaboration with 500 different STEM companies, the Broomfield Library, and local businesses, this 1800-student, P-12 school will offer students a problem-based learning model. Mentorship opportunities with STEM industry professionals, including Butterfly Pavilion scientists, will allow many to graduate with industry credentials.
