• CIA World Fact Book - A listing of countries with maps, flags, and up to date information on geography, economics, people, government, etc.
• Country Reports - Country information from around the world. This site is designed to assist businesses, students, tourists, and teachers. They claim to be the Internet's best source of country data. ACS has a password for full use of this site. (Government Comparison)
• Information Please Almanac - Lots of statistics and general information for all countries of the world.

Travel Guides

• Frommers - An online travel guide featuring several world countries.
• Lonely Planet's Guide to Countries of the World - Guide to countries of the world with current travel information including maps, statistics, special events, culture, attractions, etc. All the basic facts (and more) for travelers.

Culture

• CultureGrams - a subscription that will work at school and on your laptop from home.

• Country Studies - published by the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress.
• Etiquette from around the world - learn how to be polite and respectful when visiting different countries.
• Translation from Reference.com- online translators for many languages.
• World Religions Index- Comparisons of various world religions, sponsored by the Telling the Truth project.
