Algebra 1A is a college- preparatory course that acts as the first half of a rigorous Algebra ICP course. Students who are successful in Algebra 1A move on to Algebra IB, and thus satisfy the Algebra 1 graduation requirement.
In Algebra 1A, up to three assignments are given daily. All assignments are designed to be completed within the 90-minute class period, with minimal work taken home. Assignments are graded based on completeness and correctness.
Any fully completed assignment receiving a grade of less than 100% may be fixed outside of class, and resubmitted for full credit. Incomplete assignments may be completed outside of class for 50% credit.
