Every 6-week Sprint at ActonKL ends with our Eagles putting on a Learning Exhibition to showcase their efforts and learnings. The work presented by the Elementary and Middle School Launchpad Eagles, including their website were ALL done by Eagles themselves. Credit goes to them entirely.
Originally planned for physical exhibition, but was abruptly changed to online. The Eagles had 2 days to plan an online exhibition and put together the following pages.
ES Eagles are placed in the role of scientists in Edison’s Menlo Park lab. As innovators, they conduct experiments, write patents, and must consider the cost of their experiments. The studio itself is transformed into a science lab. Come and see their Google Site!
For their writing, the ES Eagles delved into Informative Writing using the writing process and the six-traits critique.
In this Quest, Eagles explored and modeled basic physical systems to make predictions in simple hands-on systems. They examined the “why” behind the study of physics and related their understanding to everyday real-world areas such as sports, transportation, energy (in the industrial sense), design and engineering.
For their writing, the Eagles wrote Gratitude Letters, and some went further with their own Independent Genre.
The MSLP Eagles are doing a Zoom presentation.
