Exhibition is now LIVE! Please give generous growth mindset feedback for our Eagles' continuous growth.
The Elementary School (ES) and Middle School (MS) Eagles at ActonKL had been busy with their coding creations. In addition to that, the ES Eagles had attempted some technical writing through their Writer's Workshops.
After every 6-week Sprint at ActonKL, the Eagles at ActonKL put up an Exhibition to showcase their efforts over the 6-week Sprint on a real-world project. This is 2020/2021 Sprint 2 on Coding & Programming aims to:
Introduce basic programming concepts such as loops, events and more
Inspire a love of creating and solving problems with technology
Equip digital literacy, especially digital citizenship
Create a game or an app as a final project!
This sprint, Eagles have been working hard to develop a program for this exhibition - they made games, drawings, and many more for you to check out!
For this sprint, we've also been working on out Writer's Workshop. This Writer's Workshop topic is technical writing.
We hope you enjoy our work!

Will humans rule computers or will they rule us?
This session, the Middle School Eagles dove deep into this question, learning about history of computers & technology through Socratic Discussions and movies like The Imitation Game! We also mentored the ES Eagles, planning and executing interactive games to teach them about some components of programming (e.g. variables, conditions, algorithms).
For this Exhibition, we are showcasing the apps we built via Thunkable, a coding software. We followed an introductory course and used the resources provided by Thunkable to program and design a fully-functioning app! We hope you enjoy interacting with our apps; and please leave us any questions/feedback in the Form below :)
