I am an Associate Professor of Communication and New Media at Anatolia American University, where my work explores the intersection of media, communication studies, media and AI literacy, and education. My teaching portfolio includes media theory, intercultural communication, discourse and semiotics, philosophy, and professional and advanced communication courses. Additionally, I teach summer courses on the history of Thessaloniki and professional English language courses at the Lifelong Learning Center.
Before joining the faculty in 2021, I served as an Academic Director for the foundation programme at Network Educational Group. At the same time, I established myself as a content creator, producing digital media projects, such as Old Photos of Thessaloniki on Facebook and multimedia educational content. My creative practice also extends to writing and producing music.
Prior to that, I worked extensively in language instruction and educational organizational consultancy. My doctoral research at the University of Sheffield examined how students act as change agents within schools, drawing on organizational theory, critical pedagogy, and student voice frameworks. I started my career at The Grubb Institute of Behavioural Studies in London working as a consultant on educational change projects across the UK and its influential psychodynamic approach to the study of organisations continues to inform my work.
