I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology specializing in emotional memory, learning, and experimental psychopathology. My work focuses on understanding and modifying maladaptive emotional memories, bridging fundamental cognitive science with clinical applications.
Before joining the faculty at Anatolia American University in 2024, I completed my postdoctoral research at KU Leuven and held a visiting position at UCLA’s Anxiety and Depression Research Center. I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from KU Leuven in 2020, where I investigated mechanisms of directed forgetting and emotional memory attenuation techniques.
Along with my faculty position, I also serve as Chair of the Institutional Review Board and Coordinator of EU Funding Programs at Anatolia American University.
