Short Bio
I am an Adjuct Professor of Biological Sciences, specializing in tissue engineering and biochemistry.
Before joining the faculty here, I received my PhD from the Department of Chemistry of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2023), focusing on the genetic design, production and testing of novel, injectable biomaterials, consisting of elastin and silk fibroin, for bone and cartilage regeneration.
Currently, I serve as Instructor of the course "SNCB299 Inquiries in the Biological Sciences" and I co-supervise the theses of two senior students, on the study of major singaling pathways involved in Myelodysplastic Syndromes & Acute Myeloid Leukemia and the effect of azacytidine treatment.
