At ACSOM, we prioritize the success and well-being of your student just as you do. Our experienced Student Support Services Team is committed to providing comprehensive support throughout your academic studies, and we want to provide parents and partners with resources, guidance, and information to do help your student thrive academically and personally.
ACSOM faculty, staff, and administration are required to obtain a The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) release from your student prior to discussing any specific details about them when they are not present on the call, which includes whether they are attending the school.
FERPA is a guideline that affords students certain rights concerning the privacy of, and access to, their education records. Students may submit this form to the Registrar to allow the release of their education records to specified third parties. Please note that while this form authorizes the release education records to third parties, it does not obligate ACSOM to do so. ACSOM reserves the right to review and respond to requests for release of education records on a case-by-case basis. For additional information, visit the U.S. Dept. of Education’s website at: https://studentprivacy.ed.gov/ferpa.
Your student may complete the FERPA Release Form here. We can answer general questions about timing and processes without the FERPA release forms.
