Meet Mrs. Alfonso:
My name is Yelena Febles Alfonso (Mrs. Alfonso) I am a Spanish Teacher. I have a Master's degree in Continuing Education in Spanish-American Literature and its Application to Teaching. I obtained my Temporal Educator Certificate in world language-Spanish last year. This is my 3rd year as a teacher. It's a privilege to be part of the Special Area of the ACSMAS and a member of the Tigers family! I am so excited to share a wonderful year with everyone. My goal for this school year is to share my love for the Spanish language with my students.
Meet Ms. Prieto: Hi, my name is Evelyn Prieto. I am very excited to be a part of the ACSMAS community. I am an Elementary Education teacher who graduated from Barry University. My goal for this school year is to share my love of music with students, and foster creativity in each lesson!
Hi, my name is Mrs. Sanchez, this is my 19th year teaching Art and I still love it. I not only love art as an artist, I love teaching Art as well. Every year I am hopeful to lay a foundation for a great appreciation, joy and love of the arts that will last a lifetime. My goal this year is for the students to develop a positive way to express themselves, learn Principles and Elements of Art, learn new skills and Art techniques, and experience using various Art mediums.
Meet Ms.Breen: Hello my name is Ms.Breen and I am the Physical Education Teacher for elementary. I studied Kinesiology and Health Promotion at the University of Kentucky. This is my third year at Academir Charter School of Math and Science. A fun fact about me is my favorite Starbucks drink is a grande pink drink.
Meet Coach Benitez:
My name is David Benitez. This is my 12th year teaching Physical Education. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's in Physical Education K-12.
Meet Mr. Rodriguez:
My name is Roylen Rodriguez and I'll be the Spanish Teacher for this school year. In addition, I'm originally from Villa Clara, Cuba. As far as i'm concerned, I joined to Academir Charter School of Math and Science, the last year. I believe in creating an immersive and interactive learning environment where students can develop a deep appreciation for the Spanish language and culture. Also, I use a variety of teaching methods, including multimedia resources, group activities, and real-life conversations, to keep my students engaged and motivated.
