First Grade 

Hello! My name is Ms. Pearly Bonilla, I began my teaching career 12 years ago at Manila, Philippines where I was born and raised. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Major of Special Education and a master's degree of Special Education. I taught Kindergarten to third grade regular, self-contained and inclusion classes. 

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Sra. Pearly Bonilla, comencé mi carrera docente hace 11 años en Manila, Filipinas, donde nací y crecí. Tengo una licenciatura en Educación Primaria con mención en Educación Especial y una maestría en Educación Especial. Impartí clases regulares, autónomas y de inclusión desde Kindergarten hasta tercer grado. 

Hello families! My name is Joseph Arguez, and I’m so excited to be your child’s first grade math, science, and social studies teacher this year! I was born and raised right here in Miami, Florida, and I’m proud to call this vibrant community home. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida International University (FIU), where I developed a deep interest in how children learn and grow. Over the past year, I’ve had the joy of teaching all subjects and helping young learners build confidence and curiosity in the classroom. I’m thrilled to continue that journey this year, exploring the wonders of math, science, and social studies together. It’s going to be an amazing year of learning, discovery, and growth! 

¡Hola, familias! Mi nombre es Joseph Arguez, y estoy muy emocionado de ser el maestro de matemáticas, ciencias y estudios sociales de primer grado de su hijo este año. Nací y crecí aquí mismo, en Miami, Florida, y me siento muy orgulloso de formar parte de esta maravillosa comunidad. Obtuve mi título de Licenciatura en Psicología en la Universidad Internacional de la Florida (FIU), donde desarrollé un gran interés por comprender cómo los niños aprenden y crecen. Durante el último año he tenido la oportunidad de enseñar todas las materias, ayudando a mis estudiantes a fortalecer su confianza y curiosidad dentro del aula. Estoy entusiasmado de continuar ese camino este año, explorando juntos las maravillas de las matemáticas, las ciencias y los estudios sociales. ¡Será un año increíble de aprendizaje, descubrimiento y crecimiento!

Hello! My name is Ms. Requejado. I was born and raised here in Miami, FL to Cuban parents. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and this will be my second year as a teacher. My priority in life is spreading kindness and having empathy towards others. I hope to make a positive impact in the lives of your children this year.

Hello families! My name is Aneicy Gonzalez, and I’m so excited to be your child’s first grade teacher this year! I was born and raised right here in beautiful Miami, Florida, and I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Florida International University (FIU).

Teaching young learners is my passion, and I can’t wait to watch your children grow, explore, and discover new things every day. Together, we’ll build a fun, safe, and engaging classroom where curiosity and creativity thrive. I’m thrilled to start this amazing journey with you and your children this year!
