Lower Years Programme
Throughout the two years of practical and theoretical studies, the drama students aim to develop an understanding and enjoyment of drama, develop group and individual skills and study ways to communicate ideas and feelings to an audience.
The syllabus aims to enable students to:
develop an understanding of drama through practical and theoretical study
understand the role of actor, director and designer in creating a piece of theatre;
develop acting skills, both individually and in groups;
develop skills in devising original drama;
communicate feelings and ideas to an audience;
foster understanding of the performance process and enable students to evaluate the various stages of that process; and
encourage enjoyment of drama.
