Cash & checks (made out to AHS) are also being accepted by Mr. Johnston.

Academic / Behavior Policy:
Students must be passing ALL classes at the time of the trip.
Students that receive EITHER: 3 referrals, or 2 ISS, or 1 OSS will be not be eligible for this trip.
Students that do not meet behavioral expectations on previous SILSA trips are ineligible for this trip.
Students that do not meet behavioral expectations while on this trip are ineligible for future SILSA trips.
Students that pay for the trip, and are then disqualified due to behavioral issues, will not receive a refund.
Student Overnight Field Trip Expectations
No drugs, alcoholic beverages, vapes, tobacco or look-alike products are permitted.
Students will adhere to all rules and policies as stated in the AHS/SILSA Parent/Student Handbook.
Students taking prescribed medication should inform a Teacher In-Charge and indicate on the required health form.
Students shall show courtesy and consideration for others. No abusive or obscene language.
No bullying, no shaming, no disrespecting, no teasing, no excluding.
Be kind to others. Be respectful of others.
Students shall contact a chaperone immediately if a problem occurs.
While participating in any activities, students shall travel in groups of 2 or more. No student is to be alone under any circumstances, including visiting the restroom. Groups of 4 are highly recommended.
All students will attend all scheduled field trip functions, unless excused by a Teacher In-Charge
Students will not participate in any activity or behavior that endangers the safety of themselves or others or lessens the integrity of the Asheville City Schools District.
Students are not permitted to leave the group at any time. Visiting family members or friends may not take students away from any field trip function.
Cancellation Policies:
Should a group or individual cancel after November 30, 2023, $75.00 p/ person would be forfeited.
Should a group or individual cancel after January 11, 2024, the amount of the cancellation fee would be determined by deposits Young Transportation has made to suppliers (hotels, attractions, restaurants, etc.) that are non-refundable, administrative fees and other factors that would cause an increase in price to the remaining tour participants. This amount could range from $150.00 p/person to the full amount of the tour. Any deposits exceeding the cancellation fee would be refunded to the contracting party to be dispensed to the individual.
After the rooming list has been received the refunds to a group or individual will be very minimal, if any. No refunds will be given to individuals that are canceled from the tour by the school after the rooming list has been received for attendance or behavioral issues OR for individuals that are sent home for disciplinary action during the tour.
