Through playful exploration and hands-on activities, these budding coders are embarking on an exciting journey into the world of robotics. With Indy robots and Dash robots as their companions, they dive into the basics of coding, mastering concepts that will shape their future in the digital age. With each click of a button and each line of code, they unlock a realm of creativity and problem-solving, building the foundation for a lifetime of innovation. In this dynamic learning environment, kindergartners are not just students; they are the architects of tomorrow's technology.
Enter the vibrant STEAM 2nd grade class with Ms. DeCostole at HFE, where young minds are embarking on an exciting journey into robotics and coding. Guided by curiosity and creativity, our second graders are diving into the realm of VEX robots, mastering the art of building and coding with enthusiasm and determination. With hands-on experience, they learn to assemble these intricate machines, understanding the mechanics that drive them forward. Through trial and error, they hone their problem-solving skills, discovering the power of perseverance in the face of challenges. As they write their first lines of code, they unlock a world of endless possibilities, programming their robots to navigate obstacles and accomplish tasks. In this dynamic learning environment, second graders are not just students; they are young engineers shaping the future of technology, one VEX robot at a time.
Author Kimberly Wilson visited our 1st & 2nd graders & shared her book. Compared to past author visits, the most books were purchased through Malaprops (or brought to be signed) than ever before. She signed 15 books.
Enter the thrilling world of robotics at HFE with Ms. DeCostole, where our 4th and 5th graders shine as members of our esteemed robotics team. With a passion for innovation and teamwork, these young engineers are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of possibility. Throughout the year, they devote countless hours to designing, building, and programming their robots, honing their skills for the ultimate challenge: competitions.
With nerves of steel and determination in their hearts, our robotics team steps onto the competition stage, ready to showcase their hard work and ingenuity. Amidst the whirlwind of excitement, they collaborate seamlessly, strategizing and adapting to each new obstacle with grace and precision.
As they maneuver their robots through complex tasks and engage in spirited matches, our students exemplify the values of sportsmanship and perseverance. Win or lose, they emerge from each competition with invaluable lessons learned and a renewed sense of camaraderie.
