We know that Hurricane Helene has brought devastation and loss to our region. Our hearts are heavy as we grieve with and for our community and the tremendous loss. It is overwhelming with feelings of gratitude one minute but feeling depressed and guilty the next. There is also such hope in seeing the helpers and how people are coming together to look out for their fellow neighbor. It's so important that we listen to each other and honor our individual experiences and stories during this collective traumatic event and talk with our children about their feelings.
