After School Arts

After School Arts (ASA) is a program at Claxton that provides a variety of enrichment classes taught by local artists, leaders, & staff! All students are welcome as we hope to inspire a love and passion for art in all of its forms!

The classes run each day from 2:45-4:00.

Daily Routines, Snack, and Dismissal Policies

Snack: We will provide snack for the students at each weekly session free of primary allergens such as peanuts and tree nuts. We will do our best to meet the dietary needs of each student, but if you know your child has additional needs that restrict what they are able to eat, such as braces, gluten-free, vegan, etc., we recommend that you send them in with a back up snack just in case!

Dismissal Policies: At 4:00, please park your car and walk up to the front door to pick up your child. It is important that we honor the time of our instructors and ensure that they are leaving by 4:15 pm each day. In order to do this, students MUST be picked up by 4:15 pm at the latest. We understand that unexpected things happen and there will be necessary moments of flexibility, but if late pick up becomes a consistent issue, we will enforce the following policy: families will be charged $1 for every minute past 4:15pm until their child is picked up to pay for the time and supervision of the instructor.

Registration for After School Arts Classes

Registration for the Fall 2025 session is closed. We will provide more offerings in the spring!

To register for a class:
Click on the name of the class you’d like to join from the list below. This will take you to a Google Form where you can complete your registration. Once the form is submitted, your spot is secured, and you should also receive an email confirmation.

If the class is full:
You will be directed to a Wait List form. Please complete this form if you’re still interested in the class. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you with next steps.

We do our very best to place students in classes and understand the challenges of scheduling—especially for families with siblings. Submitting the wait list form helps us support you in this process, and we truly appreciate your patience and flexibility!

Payment:
After you register for classes, please be sure to click the payment link below to complete your enrollment. Before making a payment, double-check that you received an email confirmation of your Google Form submission—this confirms your child’s spot in the class.

Please note:
After School Arts classes may conflict with the play schedule for 4th and 5th grade students. Be sure your child knows which program they will be participating in before submitting payment. Refunds are possible, but they require additional processing work for our bookkeeper, so we ask for your help in avoiding them when possible.
