9th Grade Open House--150+ laptops checked out!
Classes
Hosted 13 English I classes, had students complete a map of the Media Center, and a scavenger hunt as a part of Freshman orientation.
Students completed a picture scavenger hunt, to help them get orientated to the Media Center.
Students checked out a book at the end of their first visit.
Students were given elements of the story to balance on their brooms.
Ms. Greener's English II classes participated in speed dating books focused on areas in Africa, African authors, or African characters.
Students from Ms. Wingfield's English II honors classes had to complete a literary mystery only using the clues they were given.
Freshman Cougar Seminar classes participated in the amazing race. Student's read clues about areas in the library, went to that area, scanned a QR code to receive a secret word to complete the puzzle. First team to complete correctly won!

Banned books week: Students participated in a Banned books quiz. The top three students then faced off in several literary challenges.
Professional Development
In August, Mr. Kett, Ms. Mills & Ms. Capp lead PD for teachers on a workday: Teachers were able to explore the diverse ways AI can enhance instruction, streamline administrative tasks, and personalize learning experiences. Through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and practical examples, educators will gain a deep understanding of how AI can support their teaching goals, ultimately enabling them to create more inclusive, adaptive, and student-centered classrooms.
