This Erasmus+ mobility includes 54 participants, most with fewer opportunities, and it's objectives are to enable young people to experience non-formal education in an environment entirely different from their own and to provide an exchange that gives young people the opportunity to meet their peers from other countries and to develop an innovative way to write projects effectively.
The young people will act as ambassadors for their own country by imparting as much knowledge as they can of their own country and its culture to the people they meet during the exchange and it's planned "cultural evening".
Young people have been part of this process from the birth of its idea, to the planning and writing of the project and also will be very much involved in the project management, activities and dissemination.
As this project will result in an application for a new project being made using the new and innovative methods, we will have measurable tangible results as a result of this new application.
With positive results of the new approach to project writing, we aim to increase the amount of high quality, relevant Erasmus and local projects submitted for assessment.
This youth exchange empowers young people to play an active role in the writing of projects, project management and event management and therefore the skills that they gain will support their future employment goals as many occupations now work on the basis of project management and having this skill set will improve employability.
Participation will improve the level of key competencies and skills of the young people and youth workers attending, as well as promoting active participation in intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity.
Through our partnership, we will see improvements in youth work and an increase in enhanced cooperation between our organisations and others in the youth field, especially youth-led initiatives that encourage youth empowerment. This international youth exchange mobility brings together youth and youth workers from several countries and as such this will enhance the international dimension of youth activities also enhance the capacity of youth workers and organisations in their support for young people.
We are addressing the need for young people to play an active part in their own future and the future of the European Union. Through this youth exchange, the young people will become equipped with the tools and knowledge for writing an effective project and have a safe space to explore their idea of a PROJ-A-THON as a way to create great results.
High youth unemployment is prevalent in all countries involved and through this youth exchange, the young people will gain transferable skills and knowledge to support their employment goals.
