Junior Scholars
Wright Middle School was honored to have one 8th grade student recognized as a Junior Scholar for her score on the PSAT. Congratulations to Emma Creswell for this outstanding accomplishment.
Students Spread Christmas Cheer
Mrs. S. Temple's 8th grade English I class partnered with Westwood and Long Cane to share some Christmas joy in December. Our middle school students worked together in small groups to write and illustrate children's books. They worked so hard to create physical books as well as online versions, and they were able to all read to the younger children.

WMS I.M.P.A.C.T. Program
WMS I.M.P.A.C.T. (Improving My Perspective and Changing my Thinking) is a newly introduced mentoring program whose goal is to focus on the African American male students in an effort to help them focus on building essential skills needed to be productive and successful and seeks to impact our school and, in turn, our community one student at a time.

School Fundraiser
WMS partnered with our School Improvement Council to hold several different fundraisers this school year. Together, we were able to hold monthly Chick-Fil-A Biscuit Fundraisers, a fall gift wrap fundraiser, sell slushies during lunch, and canteen items during A.R. Rewards Time on Fridays.
Victory XR Grant
WMS was awarded a grant through the state department and VictoryXR. WMS was one of only 30 middle schools chosen to receive 20 virtual reality headsets to use in classrooms daily. We cannot wait for them to come in and utilize them in the classrooms.
