⭐ An Honor Society for Students Involved in Performance ⭐
Students do not have to be enrolled in a drama class to become a member of the Society, they just have to be involved in a performance of some kind throughout the year. Musician, Tech, Actor, Director, Costumer... there are many roles in Theatre and all have a place in the Society.
The Thespian Pledge,
"I promise to uphold the aims and ideals of the International Thespian Society. I am a student of theatre and excellence is my ideal. I promise to perform my part as well as I can; to accept praise and criticism with grace; to cooperate with my fellow Thespians and work for the good of the troupe; and to share my love of theatre."

As a member of ITS, students will be honored on an international level and have access to resources beyond those of the school.
⭐ ITS hosts festivals, workshops, and opportunities to showcase and receive assessment on tech and performance skills
⭐ A membership card, certificate, and induction pin
⭐ Student leadership opportunities at the troupe level that provides places for students to develop their leadership skills
⭐ Honor Society membership can enhance college and employment applications
This society has a troupe leader and officers that run the troupe. Students earn induction based on their achievements in its theatre program.
ITS point system helps track students work in performance, tech, and production staff categories. Inductees must earn points of the course of more than one production and in more than one discipline.
Students can continue to earn ITS points beyond induction to achieve progressively higher honors.
Interested in becoming a Thespian?
Contact Mrs. Miller (mmiller@acs.sch.ae) if you are interested in becoming part of this wonderful Honour Society!
The Points System Chart is included here as a reference for the way in which you can obtain your points towards Induction. You are a considered to be a PLEDGE until you have gained enough points to be inducted through a formal celebration. This is very much a student driven community or work and projects designed and run by students. Get involved!
What happens after I have been Inducted and have my 10 points?
Keep going! This troupe is a way of honouring the work you are doing in the name of theatre and performance. Keep collecting points so that when you graduate you can have these pins, and celebrations on your Graduation Gown to acknowledge the work you have completed.
