After School Policy

The ACS Athens, Health & Safety and Safeguarding are very important components of our institution. We work diligently to provide a place of trust, and care for all of our students, and are continuously updating procedures and protocols.    To address potential risks and ensure the health and safety of everyone on campus, we will continue to monitor after school attendance closely ; however, the following procedures must be strictly observed.

• Students remaining on campus for after-school programs must present themselves to their assembly point before 15:55

• TheAssistant Principal's office must be informed if students need to remain on campus (waiting for a sibling, late pickup from parents etc.), and prior clearance must be provided by the school each time.  The reason for staying, the expected departure time, and the means of transportation must be provided in the aforementioned communication.

Students remaining on campus will only be allowed in the following supervised areas:

1. Outdoor Basketball Court

2. Front Amphitheatre

3. Library

4. Prearranged supervised classroom/area with a teacher/club advisor.

Please note that school buildings, Cafeteria, Soccer Field, Fifth Grade area, Elementary Soccer Field, EC Playground, and areas other than those mentioned above are OFF LIMITS. 

Campus will close at 6:00pm and no one may remain with the grounds beyond this time.
