What we do
Here at Raider Garage we are fortunate to have an educational laboratory that allows for instructor led automotive service and repair. Students offer maintenance and minor repairs to ACPS Staff vehicles as well as students who are enrolled in the course. The Automotive Technology Course is offered over three levels with an option for Apprenticeship within the program.
Auto I
Auto I
Automotive Technology Level I offers students introductory skills needed to work on customer vehicles and familiarize themselves with vehicle components as well as tools and equipment.
Auto II
Auto II
Automotive Technology II offers students a more in depth skill level and allows students to trouble shoot common car problems. Students work in depth with vehicle alignment and suspension components.
Auto III
Auto III
Automotive Technology III deals with workplace readiness skills that help students develop skills need to obtain and keep a job in the Auto Motive Field. After covering workplace readiness third year students begin covering Virginia State Inspection related content to prepare for the industry certification test at the end of the semester.
