Homework/Grading

Weekly Homework

(We will NOT have homework until we get back to a normal schedule; however, students will be responsible for completing Wednesday work)

Our homework policy is that students write their homework for the week in their school issued agendas every Monday morning. These assignments may change as we go throughout the week, but it is the student's responsibility to update their weekly agendas to reflect these changes. In addition, we will do our best to communicate any upcoming tests and quizzes through your student's weekly agenda and Class Dojo. Students will have nightly Language Arts/Spelling/Word Study homework and they will receive this homework on Monday morning. It is due Friday.

My grading policy is:

• 30% Assessments(Tests/Quizzes)

• 30% Formative Assessments

• 30% Classwork

• 10% Homework

Bi-Weekly Folders

Graded work will be sent home every other Thursday in their folder; however to avoid excessive contact, many assignments will be given through Google Classroom. Grades will be updated on Powerschool weekly.

Folders must be SIGNED by a parent/guardian and returned by the following day to receive a BONUS Dojo point. This is an important communication tool for us to keep you informed of how your child is doing academically, behaviorally, as well as up to date on school happenings.
