CONNECTING Students & Employers
for a Stronger Allegany County
The Allegany County Apprenticeship Maryland Program (AMP) is a collaboration of efforts between Allegany County Public Schools, Allegany County Government, and local employers along with state funds and support from the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation (DLLR) and the MD State Department of Education (MSDE) to provide monitored, paid apprenticeship work experience for juniors and seniors in the local school system. The program allows students to earn while they learn, making no less than minimum wage for a minimum of 450 hours in various career pathways.
