Module 4: Coherent Learning

This module will assist administrators in recognizing that student-centered learning is driven by the research from How People Learn and understanding that intentional structuring of communication in all subjects builds coherence for students K-12. Administrators will build an understanding about the richness of student learning opportunities when Science and Common Core - English Language Arts (CCSS-ELA) are explicitly linked, and science offers opportunities for student motivation while connecting science and literacy. Administrators will also learn a process to support teachers using the convergence between the CCSS-ELA and CA NGSS.
