Help Keep North County Clean!
For Earth Day we teamed up with Eternal Hills and Oceanside Rotary Club to clean the area around the Oceanview Cemetery and nearby vacant lot. Together we removed over 2,600 pounds.
We are excited to announce that FBA’s Keeping Fallbrook Litter Free program will begin operating under the local non-profit A Cleaner North County effective July 1, 2024.
The Fallbrook Beautification Alliance was formed in 2004 to take on responsibility for the landscaping of the S. Mission Medians. From there, the group took on multiple on-going beautification and environmental projects which currently include: Battery Recycling; maintenance of the Mission Medians and Jackie Heyneman Park; Downtown Flower Pots; Military Welcome Home monument; Community Cleanups; International Dark Skies; and our group, Keeping Fallbrook Litter Free.
Over the years as the number of projects grew, the number of FBA board members dwindled to just 7 currently. Recognizing that the importance of these key projects far outweighs the name of the organization spearheading, the FBA board decided it was time to find organizations with volunteers and funding to carry on the mission. We are happy to report that every project has found a home!
A Cleaner North County is a team dedicated to conservation and maintaining the natural beauty of North County. The group consistently tackles problem spots in Fallbrook, cleaning up litter and illegally dumped items. Regularly scheduled cleanups include the 1st Thursday of each month when the group meets at the Bonsall Marketplace to clean their Adopt A Highway, and other Thursdays tackle problem sites around Fallbrook. KFLF volunteers have enjoyed independent litter removal, finding your own “trouble spots” or local streets that consistently benefitted from your cleanup efforts. We hope you will continue to do so, reporting your monthly bucket counts as previous. The only change is that you will now find an additional category when you log in your buckets, which will be an estimate the weight of your collection.
Your individual efforts have benefitted the Fallbrook community greatly, and an added advantage of joining A Cleaner North County, should you come across an area with items too big or too numerous for one person to tackle, the have the means to assist. A great source of information about the group and their scheduled cleanups may be found at www.acleanernorthcounty.org. or the groups facebook page. If you “like” or “follow” the group, you will get regular information on scheduled events, and it’s a convenient way to RSVP to any of their group activities.

We are committed to changing the world we live in for the better
We are comprised of members of the community who meet regularly to remove trash from areas where the county and other organizations do not necessarily focus their efforts.
Trash on the road is pushed by rain and wind into our water ways and sewers
The work is never done until people decide to make a change
