Philosophy of Education
To support the mission of the Atlantic County Institute of Technology of the Atlantic County Vocational School District, the Board of Education believes that:
The total development of the student is a responsibility shared by the home, school and community.
All programs and activities should be available to all students regardless of race, color, religion, gender, ancestry, and national origin, social or economic status.
They should provide ample opportunity to develop functional appreciation of the duties and responsibilities as well as the privileges of citizenship in our American society.
Cultural and aesthetic appreciation should be encouraged and developed to the maximum capacity of each individual.
They must make every effort to provide for the needs, interests, and abilities of all students through comprehensive and flexible programs in partnership with business, industry, labor and post secondary institutions.
A continuing evaluation of the total school program is in the best interests of the students and the community.
The school is committed to providing access for all special populations including non-traditional students to all career focused programs, career and academic guidance, cooperative education, and apprenticeship.
