RFHS Spring 2021 Scholarship Hub
Welcome Pirates!
The RFHS Scholarship Hub is designed to provide 2021 seniors with easy access to available scholarships, applications, and information. This google site will be updated as new information is available. Seniors are encouraged to return to this site frequently between now and the end of the school year. Posted on this site will be some scholarships that are not connected with the Office of College and Career Readiness but have been vetted and have specific applications & submission directions.
The majority of the scholarships on this site are considered "LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS" and will need to be submitted electronically in the specific "assignment" in the Class of 2021 Google Classroom site. Students log into the Senior class Google Classroom, and click on the "Classwork" heading. Then scroll down the page to find the corresponding "assignment"/Scholarship under the bold Scholarship heading . After the submission deadline, Mrs. Stephenson will distribute all scholarship packets received to the specific local scholarship committees for review.
Mark your calendars for the Class of 2021 Award Ceremony that will be held in the Luigi Auditorium on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, beginning at 5:30 p.m. (More information will be shared in early May)
Senior Scholarship Support Workshops will take place on Monday March 22nd - Friday, March 26th in the computer lab connected to the RFHS library. Mrs. Stephenson will be available to provide assistance from 9:00 a.m. - 10:10 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. each day (Wednesday, March 24th, the workshop will take place in the Counseling office) !

Rockport-Fulton Aggie Club
Eligibility: RFHS Seniors attending Texas A&M College Station - Fall 2021.

Mike Bonner Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: RFHS Seniors who will be attending a trade school such as the Craft Training Center, Tulsa Welding School, Del Mar College, etc... or seniors pursuing a career in construction or a degree in Construction Science or Construction Management field.

Aransas County Area Go Texan Scholarship
Eligibility: Graduating seniors who are continuing their education (certification program, trade school, community college, university, etc..).
Scholarship Deadline: All applications must be handwritten, scanned and emailed by 5:00 p.m. on April 16th to aransascoagt@yahoo.com.
Application: Area Go Texan Cover Sheet (attached) and Handwritten Essay.
Essay requirements - " What do you expect to gain from going to college or trade school and how do you plan to use your anticipated degree to better your community or provide a service? 1000 word minimum, must be written in pen on lined paper, sign & date your essay before scanning and emailing.

Rockport-Fulton Alumni Association
Eligibility: RFHS Seniors pursuing either a vocational certification or college degree. One $500 Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a family member that graduated from RFHS & another $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student continuing their education in the arts.
Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.
Application Form:
Submit the LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP packet and include a page stating the name of the RFHS alumni family member, their relationship to the applicant, and the year they graduated from RFHS, to the corresponding assignment in the Class of 2021 Google Classroom page.
RFMS Bobby Jackson Future Educator Scholarship
Eligibility: RFHS Seniors who attended RFMS and are pursuing a degree in education.
Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Eligibility: RFHS Seniors, continuing their education, who were members of the NJHS during middle school.
Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.

Texas Outdoors Woman Network (T.O.W.N)
Eligibility: Female RFHS Seniors. The Texas Outdoors Woman Network is looking to support female students who are continuing their education after high school.

Bill Hildebrand & Sam Williams Culinary Scholarship
Eligibility - RFHS senior pursuing a career in the Culinary Arts. One Scholarship in honor of Bill Hildebrand & Sam Williams.
Scholarship Deadline: Local scholarship packet must be submitted electronically in the "Bill Hildebrand & Sam Williams Culinary Arts Scholarship" assignment located in the Class of 2021 Google Classroom page on or before 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2021.

Coastal Bend Aggie Mom's Club
Purpose: To encourage students to continue their pursuit of an education in the academic, technical or vocational field at Texas A&M University, College Station.
Submission Deadline: Postmarked no later than April 30, 2021
Eligibility:
Must live in the areas of Aransas Pass, Gregory, Ingleside, Mathis, Odem, Portland, Refugio, Rockport, San Patricio, Sinton, Skidmore, Taft, Tuloso-Midway, Tynan, or Woodsboro.
Applicant must provide a 1-2 page essay on their plans for the future, why attending college is important to those plans and how this scholarship will help them achieve their plans.
Applicant must provide a 1 page list of their achievements.
Applicant must provide proof they have been accepted to Texas A&M University, College Station for the Fall Semester of 2021.

Lamar Gumbo Palooza!
The Lamar Gumbo Palooza is a 501C3 non profit organization whose primary purpose is to raise money towards helping students pay for post secondary education.
Eligibility: RFHS Seniors pursuing post-secondary education.

Aransas County Education Foundation
The Aransas County ISD Education Foundation is dedicated to advancing and celebrating the educational excellence of the students and teachers across our school district. The Education Foundation has distributed 3.5 million dollars combined in teaching and campus grants, special program grants, scholarships for graduating seniors of Rockport- Fulton High School and programs that celebrate and recognize their accomplishments.

Eligibility: RFHS Seniors who have worked at the City of Rockport Aquatic Park/Community Pool and will be continuing their education.

Eligibility: All RFHS Seniors. Preference may be given to a student pursuing a course of study pertaining to the outdoors; however, all students continuing their education after high school are encouraged to apply.

P.E.O Women Helping Women
P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, etc... and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
Eligibility: A well rounded 2020 RFHS female graduate with strong academic and leadership skills. Desired candidates are also involved in the community.

Eligibility: RFHS Seniors who played at least two sports each year during high school and are pursuing their education. More than one scholarship will be awarded.

Eligibility: RFHS Seniors pursuing either a vocational certification or college degree. More than one scholarship will be awarded.

American Legion Auxiliary
Nona Friske Memorial Scholarship
Application: Utilize the local scholarship application (located above) and attach the additional application requirements.
Eligibility: Applicant is the Daughter, Granddaughter or Great-Granddaughter of a veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion. Anyone who has served in the Armed Forces since December 7, 1941, qualifies for membership in the American Legion.

Eligibility: An RFHS Senior pursuing a career in any area of theatre arts (set design, lighting, costume design, fashion, performance, etc...). One $2,000.00 scholarship will be awarded in Mr. Williams' honor.

ACMSI established their scholarship program to assist students in furthering their education in the medical field.

Scholarship Applications Being Accepted for the Martha Luigi Choral Scholarship
Eligible Seniors are those pursuing a degree in vocal performance, musical theatre (drama) or teaching certification in choral music and attending a four year university in the Fall! FlatsWorthy Scholarship
FlatsWorthy is a 501 (c)(3), spearheaded by a noble group of anglers that began with an ambitious goal to promote boating courtesy among all who enjoy our shallow bays. FlatsWorthy was established as a diverse coalition of anglers with mutual respect engaging in a conversation to reverse inconsiderate behavior in our local waters.
Eligibility: RFHS Seniors
*Youth that are FlatsWorthy student members and have specific interest in conservation and/or fisheries will be given preference. Membership for FlatsWorthy is free, youth can sign up at www.flatsworth.com.

Coastal Bend Community Foundation
The Coastal Bend Community Foundation currently manages over 100 scholarship funds. A single, combined online application can be submitted that considers students for over 70 scholarships. The additional, remaining scholarships use an application process specific to the organization or donor who provides the scholarship and recommends the recipient(s).
