Learning & Curriculum

Our preschool program welcomes learners who are at least three years old and toilet trained. Our program is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in a warm, home-like environment. Through a play-based approach, children engage in thematic units that explore various topics, allowing them to make connections between what they’re learning and the world around them. 

The framework of The Creative Curriculum guides our activities, providing a rich, engaging framework for exploration. Outdoor learning is a key component, as children enjoy hands-on experiences in nature, enhancing their physical development and social interactions. The program also emphasizes social-emotional learning, helping children understand and manage their emotions while building positive relationships with peers. Additionally, executive functioning skills such as attention, memory, and problem-solving are nurtured through structured activities, while early academic skills are introduced in a playful, supportive way.

Our Pre-Kindergarten program is thoughtfully designed to provide a well-rounded foundation for young learners, using the structures of The Creative Curriculum and integrating the PreK For Me Curriculum in order to support a seamless transition to kindergarten. 

Social-emotional learning is woven throughout the day, helping children develop self-regulation, self-understanding, and strong relationships with their peers. We emphasize the development of executive function skills, such as problem-solving, through hands-on, and guided activities. Academic skills are fostered by meeting each learner where they are at to guide them to grow.

Play-based learning, outdoor exploration, and small group instruction are key elements of our program. We strive to encourage learners to be curious and active explorers of the world around them. 

As part of our community-centered approach, we collaborate with local partners to enrich the learning experience, providing children with opportunities to connect with and contribute to their broader community.

Our after-school enrichment program for kindergarten through third grade learners offers a vibrant and supportive community where children can explore, create, and grow. Through engaging thematic activities, students dive into hands-on projects that incorporate art, nature, and play-based learning. 

The program fosters creativity through various artistic mediums, allowing children to express themselves while exploring their imagination. Outdoor activities connect them to nature, promoting physical activity, environmental awareness, and a sense of wonder. 

Our emphasis on building a strong sense of community encourages collaboration, kindness, and friendship. Additionally, the program offers opportunities for community partnerships, bringing in local experts and organizations to enrich the learning experience and help children connect with the world around them
