We have been running the supported internship at Amazon in Weybridge, Surrey, since September 2025. This is an exciting new partnership between Amazon, Surrey County Council, DFN Project SEARCH, and Ambitious College.

This study programme is for young people aged 18–25 who have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan and want to move into paid employment with extra support.

Interns are based at the Amazon site five days a week, taking part in workplace rotations, learning through feedback, and building the skills and confidence needed for adulthood and employment.

During the evening, we’ll be sharing an overview of our Mencap Supported Internship Programme for young people aged 16–24 with an active EHCP. The presentation will include:

• What we offer through our pre-internship and supported internship programme

• The types of work placements available

• Our classroom curriculum

• The independent living and employability skills we help develop

This event is open to parents, young people, local authorities, and anyone interested in learning more about our programme.
