About GEER
The Governor’s Education Emergency Relief (GEER) Fund was created and supplied by the federal CARES Act. During the pandemic, continuing educational opportunities for students of all ages affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. was of paramount concern. The Office of Early Childhood (OEC) worked to help families access high-quality remote learning platforms for early childhood education, addressing connectivity gaps identified by OEC as early childhood educators operate at reduced capacity and families that may be required to continue early childhood education from home. In this current phase of the GEER program, with many young learners returning to school, the GEER has expanded its efforts to include providing early childhood programs and families with the technology training and professional learning needed to support young children's learning at home and at school.
The GEER Online Learning Hub seeks to provide online professional learning opportunities for early childhood program providers and families. While visiting this site, you may explore topics about how to use technology for communication with families, instruction, and for young children's learning and development. You may visit these pages by using the menu bar at the top of this page, or the buttons below.
