What is a data breach?
Under SOPPA, a data breach refers to the unauthorized acquisition of computerized data that compromises the security, confidentiality, or integrity of covered information maintained by an operator or school.
The following list contains details about any data breach involving 10% or more of Acero’s students, including the number of students whose information was involved in the breach, the estimated date of breach, and operator name. Students impacted by a data breach will receive a separate communication including specific details and recommended action steps.
