ACE Experienceship Program

The ACE Experienceship model strives to connect our student’s academic learning with the work related experiences. This helps them develop not only academic skills but essential work skills - necessary for success no matter where their journey leads them.

  • As freshman our students learn their top 5 strengths through Clifton Strengths. They begin to learn by combining information and data from multiple sources into a single concept. That concept is their individual ISO. This is a visual representation of their Interests, Strengths, and Opportunities. It gets them to start using critical thinking skills in the area of career exploration.
  • As sophomores, students deepen their understanding of the ISO while exploring career fields that naturally match their Interests, Strengths and Opportunities. They begin to develop highly valuable skills in self- initiative and self-management while working on real life projects within their particular CTE pathway. Students have the ability to interact remotely with outside project partners via our state-of-the-art Virtual Experienceship room.
  • Juniors expand their work based learning with more advanced projects in partnership with local employers, non-profits, and community based programs. Project work allows them to practice the critical skills of collaboration and teamwork. Students have the ability to interact remotely with outside project partners via our state-of-the-art Virtual Experienceship room.
  • Seniors perform Senior Internship, an 80-hour deep learning experience within an employer. These internships most often align directly with students’ ACE CTE pathways and allows them to put into practice the academic and work skills they have learned over the previous three years. It is during the Senior Internship that students further develop their skills in communication and professionalism in a real world setting. The Senior Internship culminates in a Senior Exhibition, a formal multimedia presentation to a panel of judges that is a reflection of numerous writing projects and the Senior Internship.
