Dates: 21-22 april 2026
Venue: Simula Hub - Via Alfredo Veroni, 37a, 43122 Parma PR Italy
Course presentation:
The purpose of the training course “Keep calm and control pressure” is to provide anesthesiologists and icu pratictioners with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage and perioperative blood pressure crises, which can be life-threatening for the patient. The use of simulation in training is an effective and safe way to provide anesthesiologists with hands-on experience in managing these crises in a controlled environment.
Simulation-based training allows anesthesiologists to practice managing blood pressure crises in a realistic setting that mimics the challenges they may face in the operating room. This includes managing different scenarios, such as hypertension, hypotension, and sudden changes in blood pressure, and responding to these situations with appropriate interventions.
By participating in this training course, anesthesiologists can develop their skills in crisis management, improve their decision-making abilities, and enhance their overall patient safety outcomes. Additionally, simulation training can help to identify knowledge gaps and areas for improvement in managing blood pressure crises, allowing for targeted educational interventions to be developed and implemented.
Overall, the use of simulation in training anesthesiologists on managing intraoperative blood pressure crises is a valuable tool in improving patient safety outcomes and promoting continuous professional development among healthcare providers.
