Meet the Director

Mr. Brett Latman is a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree as well as minors in both Spanish and Conducting . While Mr. Latman's degree is focused primarily on instrumental music education, he has had numerous opportunities to work with choral, orchestral, and general music students as well. He has worked extensively with groups such as the Whiteland Community High School Marching Band as a music and field staff member and the Pride of Paoli Marching Band as a visual and music assistant. While in Paoli, Mr. Latman created and directed the school's first jazz band in eight years. Mr. Latman studied trumpet privately with Professor Joey Tartell and studied conducting with Dr. Eric Smedley, Dr. Dominick DiOrio, Tiffany Galus, and Nicholas Waldron.
