Grades

5th/6th Grade:
I DO NOT post any grades on Progress Book.

7th/8th Grade:
Grades WILL BE on Progress Book.

All assignments will be given and turned in through Google Classroom. The assignments will be graded and returned via Google Classroom.

If you ever have questions about grades please email me so we can discuss before the end of the 4.5 or 6 week session.

Grades for this class are based mostly on effort. While there will be right and wrong answers I am more concerned with the student putting forth the effort to be proficient with the material.

5th and 6th grade are given O's, S's, or U's in this class. I grade their assignments based on effort and whether they followed the directions/requirements. In here it's OK to be wrong as long as the student put forth effort and learned from their mistakes.

7th and 8th grade use the standard grading scale. There is a little more required of 7th and 8th graders but it still comes down to effort and whether they have met the requirements of each assignment.
