All About Me

Hello! My name is Marie Rupert and I love teaching 3rd grade. My classroom is a place where students will fill their minds with everything they need to learn in 3rd grade, all while enjoying being in school. I implement student-led learning as often as I can. I love to see the students bouncing ideas off each other and teaching each other new things they have learned. I strongly believe in students being comfortable throughout the long school day. I take pride in finding as many ways as possible to get the students up and moving throughout the classroom. I offer various flexible seating options to help them move around, which helps keep their mind focused at the same time. Math is my favorite subject. I love to do projects. I also love to teach students how to use all of the features available through their Google email account. 

My husband Jared and I have 2 boys, Gavin and Logan. Jared is a firefighter in Youngstown. Gavin and Logan both play hockey. We are huge Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins fans. We have two dogs, Lucy & Lainey. We also have 2 guinea pigs, Bella & Charlie.  

Some of my favorite activities include spending time with my family, teaching, reading, watching my favorite shows & shopping. I also teach fitness classes at MegaBarre Youngstown outside of being a 3rd grade teacher. I Love it!
