Meet Mrs. Keim
Welcome to #achsphysics!
My name is Courtney Keim. I'm the AP Physics teacher here (and Viking Social Media) at ACHS for the 2023-24 school year. I live here in Atlantic City with my husband Ken (who teaches AP Macroeconomics at Egg Harbor Township High School + is a Lieutenant on the Atlantic City Beach Patrol), daughter - Lilliana (a senior at Phillips Academy Andover + also on ACBP), twins sons - Asher + Boden (9th graders at Mercersburg Academy) and two adorable corgi pups - Hanalei (Hana) + Kilauea (Kila).
I grew up in Cape May + graduated from Wildwood Catholic in 1995. I graduated in 2000 from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (now Stockton University) with two Bachelors of Science degrees - Applied Physics + Mathematics. I then got my Masters degree in School Administration from Rowan University not long after. I am a member of American Association of Physics Teachers, Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, Sigma Pi Sigma and the Society of Physics Students (while at Stockton).
I started teaching in Atlantic City in 2006 at Viking Academy and taught Chemistry + Physics there until it closed in December 2014. I spent 6 months with the students ACHS before being transferred to Texas Avenue School as the the 7th grade Math teacher. I was transferred back to the High in 2017 where I now teach AP Physics 1, AP Physics C and an elective called Viking Social Media.
