We’ll also show you how to find performance pieces for school events, ensembles, and choirs, and how to access and download accompaniment tracks to support your performances.

Having had several student teachers in my classroom over the years, I will walk you though what you need to know to get started on a great new school year, whether that is a brand new teacher or someone with a few years of experience and moving to another district. We will look at how the the MusicplayOnline curriculum can enhance your classroom and be a compass to a successful year ahead!
Performances provide music students with many valuable learning experiences, yet they can be a huge source of stress for music teachers. Joyce will present a variety of ideas ranging from quick assembly ideas to full concert performances, as well as tips for planning. This session will offer a number of tried and true performance ideas for music teachers to use for big and small events throughout the school year. Effective concert planning and management strategies will also be included. Session will start with upcoming special days, ie) Hallowe’en, Remembrance Day, Christmas, and the continue with ideas for the remainder of the school year.

Participants will learn about different ways to connect students to nature, to deepen their love of nature and the environment using music and the arts, with the intention to develop their desire to care for nature. This can involve creating simple, songs using poetry forms, creating ostinati, using the movement of observed natural plants and animals observed in nature, and much more! This webinar will explore integrated curricula, such as science/nature and music/arts.
